We saw 2 monarch butterflies today. These two were dancing around (fighting?) each other in mid air. I took a picture of one sitting on a Joe Pye weed flower amidst our grove of many Joe Pye weed and common milkweed plants in our east garden that we have been growing their for a few years now. So far we are seeing very few monarchs in our neighborhood! Maybe 2 to 4 at any one time within a 1 block radius. The 2 monarchs we see in our garden are regulars so that is a bit of good news.
