In spite of our brutal triple digit temperatures, I'm seeing asperula milkweed return in a field that was recently mowed. This plant is blooming and several others are in earlier stages of growth. Overall I saw about a dozen plants in about 15 minutes in this 2 acre field. We've had 0" of rain in July but did have 3.88" of rain in June. Forecast is more heat and no rain for next few weeks.
