We saw 1 monarch egg on the top of a leaf of one of our many milkweed plants in our east garden where we have had a grove of milkweed and Joe Pye weed plants now for a few years. It is rare that we have seen a monarch egg on top of a milkweed leaf! Not at all typical, at least in our experience! It is on one of the lower leaves of the plant.
