Hummingbird (OTHER Observations)

Date: 08/01/2023

Number: 1

Went looking with a fan outside 7 a.m. for yesterday's female. Just too hot to figure what, when, where, rubythroats are. Did see quick fly away back up into oak tree. Came back in after that bad idea and sat in house front window at 9:30 a.m and saw a skinny full red throat male rubythroat appear on feeder. (Could be same one spotted on 7/27) Sugar water was already really hot when changed it out to fresh yesterday 8 a.m.

Think the spread of coffee grinds is helping keep no show feral cat away.

Houstin:
Heat daily from now on at least 100 for 10 days straight. This is a serious hot August situation for our male returns.
