First sighting of the Eastern Black Swallowtail, however my dill plants weren't large enough to host their eggs. The smoke from Canada's forest fires pushed all butterflies from the area for several weeks, so none were seen in my area again until late July, however I didn't record the exact date that the EBSs returned.
