Nature Center monarch way station:
The previous day we had watch a female laying eggs for hours all over our gardens. On the first day of the Monarch BioBlitz we conducted a monarch egg & larvae survey for Monarch Joint Venture. We found 37 newly laid monarch eggs!!Also 3 caterpillars in the 2nd instar.
What a thrilling experience! This is the most eggs we have ever had as we know of in the last 4 years.
