Five days after counting 37 eggs, we found 19 caterpillars, all in the first instar stage.

Another exciting day! Viewing the caterpillars just after emerging from the egg has been an such an amazing experience.

We have placed 18 in a large pop-up habitat just ordered from monarchwatch. I am so excited to watch them grow and provide education programs to our visitors and have them experience the monarch lifecycle and tagging in mid-September!
