Hummingbird (OTHER Observations)

Date: 08/02/2023

Number: 1

Rubthroat male sighted at 3 p.m.hovering again at kitchen feeder. . The sugar water is hot so he can't go to feeders during daytime when we are over 100 degrees heat index in August as usual.

As a rule I don't report 11 times a day with only one hummingbird in each report. .

Unless we have an unexpected wave of afternoon rubythroats to off set my previous count I do reports only 2x a day. . Today we are sighting new male rubythroats in p.m.hours or at dusk.

It would be nice to just see a reporter right down during day in 1 report what is seen all day. In a cumulative report at end of day, not 11 reports each day at times.

In my location I have to watch reports to see where rubythroats are coming into Texas from east. It gives me time to figure ahead when to watch more as they approach Houston.

Be kind so I dont have to weed thru 11 reports of one hummingbird as I am missing other reports having to do so.

Thanks from Houston
