Adult monarchs were basking or nectaring in the native plantings between sections of the paved parking lot. I was able to get close enough to 1 individual to identify it as a male (picture attached). Patches of common milkweed can be found near the edges of this garden plot and were examined, however, no eggs or caterpillars were found.
