1 Adult Monarch butterfly was seen flying among the prairie plants along the southern edge of the prairie and 2 more were observed in the act of mating. We must of disturbed this pair because one was carrying the other as they flew away. Patches of common milkweed were observed along one of the paths through this section of the property, however, no caterpillars or eggs were found.
