We have more Ruby Throated Juvenile hummingbirds this week. Playful flying, exploring the garden, visiting wrong flowers - all signs of growing pains! Lobelia cardinalis has started blooming. Like other favorites, we have planted Lobelia cardinalis one clump every 20ft. Hummingbirds are also fighting over Red Stachytarpeta. Tiger lilies are still a favorite. Among 30+ varieties of Agastache, Coronado and Firebird seem to be their favorite. Never seen them on Agastache rugosa varieties. Salvia x Bodacious Hummingbird Falls plants are also visited more often than other 65 varieties of Salvias. Also on the menu are Canna indica, Gaura lindheimerii, Spigelia marylandica, Alstroemeria x Yellow Friendship and Abelia mosanensis. More details about our plant inventory are @million_blossoms.
