We happened to see a Baltimore Oriole bird in our garden and set up an Oriole feeder. Within a minute, a Juvenile Ruby Throated Hummingbird started pecking at the Orange fruit. An adult male RTHB came and chased the Juvenile away. Guessing that meant "Orange is not edible". Juvenile began licking the grape jelly. Adult male came again and chased it away and sat on the feeder most of the day. Soon, wasps/flies discovered grape jelly. Juvenile hummingbird returned to catch flies/gnats. Dead wasps were left alone. No sign of Oriole.
