Milkweed Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 08/04/2023

Swamp milkweed has been doing well - sending out new blooms pretty consistently (I cut off most spent blooms to avoid seed pods.) Monarchs are going to it regularly, both for nectar and laying eggs. The biggest problem this year has been rabbits! I suspected that’s what was breaking off stalks, but yesterday I actually saw one eating a broken off section.
