seven isolated stems of common milkweed mowed at least once recent weeks on a shaded location disturbed summer 2022 during road and sidewalk reconstruction. thses stems less than 20 inches tall and without any blooms or seed pods as typical on most other milkweed this time of year. no evidence of any monarch butterfly activity.
