2nd instars found while I was visiting from out of state. Lots of chew marks on nearly all of the 20 or more backyard A. syriaca plants. Sadly, two days later when I examined the plants again, I discovered that 3 of the caterpillars had died, 2 of which were partially wrapped in spider web.
