This photo shows a small sample of the large amount of milkweed we have here in schuyler falls, NY. Last year every 4 or 5 plants I'd be finding eggs or larvae. This year the numbers are extremely low, I've got 5 captive reared cats 1 is at the 4th instar...everytime I'm out on property we keep looking for larvae and there's been nothing, no adults either. The adults were also really late, by 2.5 weeks since last year...everything else was early including the hummingbirds by 2 weeks.
