I have at least 100 tropical milkweed plants and 4 giant milkweed in my yard. The milkweed is all around my yard but much of the tropical milkweed self seeds in large drainage ditch in the back yard and the monarchs love to hang out back there in the ditch under a large oak tree. Sometimes they rest on the tree's Spanish Moss too. I've had a hummingbird that frequently drank from tropical milkweed flowers.
