Monarch, Captive-Reared
Sightings report image

Date: 08/06/2023

Number: 12

Milkweed shoots in lawn pulled b4 mowing to rescue eggs. 12 now larva, ~6 eggs remain. Unknown # of eggs/larva on garden area milkweed (~70 plnats, from 3-7 feet tall). These eggs/larva survive on their own.

As new lawn shoots grow, I repeat rescue.

First monarch spotting this year was after July 4th. Late in my estimation.
