This was the largest of 6 Zizotes milkweed plants in a corner lot in my neighborhood (wild milkweeds, not cultivated) that I observed this morning. These are the same milkweeds on which I observed Monarch larvae and eggs in Spring 2023. Most of the Zizotes have seeded and died back but some are sprouting up again (and in San Antonio's ongoing severe drought and heat!)
