This is one of many of our juvenile males. As you can see, he is sporting some new red on his gorget. The juveniles are definitely having fun learning the routine of hummingbird life here. Our adult males and females are not all that interested in participating in the hummingbird games. It is obvious that the juveniles frustrate them. They are also not interested in expending as much energy at this point as the youngsters. The photo is courtesy of our good friend, Paul Nielson.
