We had seen a female Monarch hovering around and alighting on our milkweed for several days a couple of weeks ago. There are now over 20 caterpillars visible on our plants. They are of varying sizes, which might be explained by the fact that we spotted the Monarch (or perhaps multiple Monarchs) over the course of about three days.
