65 common milkweed including 12 mature stems with pods, 40 less robust stems, and 13 tiny stems emerging after repeated weeding in the perennial bed where this colony survives but does not flourish. no evidence of monarch butterfly activity though this patch has produced larvae and emerged adults each year 2012 through 2021. eggs and first instar larvae noted 2022, but none survived
