Our hummingbirds remain very busy at both the flowers and feeders, while attempting to keep others away, especially from their favorites. This adult female or juvenile is nectaring from purple porterweed, which is immensely popular with all of the pollinators. We have red, blue, purple, and lavender porterweed and they all seem equally attractive. Photo is courtesy of our friend, Paul Nielson.
