Monarch, Captive-Reared
Sightings report image

Date: 08/01/2022

Number: 2

Every year my dad rears monarchs from eggs and catapillars. Last year 2022, only 2 became butterflies and were released compared to 8 in 2021 and 26 in 2020 and now 20 so far in 2023. There is a farm field adjacent to the property and this year the field is fallow. The last 2 years there have been crops in the field (2022 and 2021) and they treated the fields then.
