Adult male feeding from the same feeder as the juvenile/females (see photo in "hummingbird sighting" on the same day. We have 15 feeders - all are different from each other. We have been writing a specific number/letter on all parts of each feeder so we can assemble them without getting mixed up. We also have duplicates so when one is getting cleaned the fresh one can be hung. We soak all 15 feeders for 30 minutes in warm water with dish detergent and then in tap water for an hour. Then rinse thoroughly and dry them in the sun for use on next day. We also boil 1:4 sugar:filtered water for a minute, cool and store in the refrigerator. All precautions are to prevent contagious diseases spreading from one to another.
