All Ruby-throated Hummingbirds. Very busy year after a slow start. The first year I have concentrated on a flowering habitat. The feeders are very active now with at least two adult males, adult females, and immature males and females.
Many territorial disputes and occasionally two birds on opposite sides of the same feeder.
The plants are where a lot of the activity is. Gleaning or nectoring, there doesn't seem to be anything they don't explore.
Some feeders are empty by the second day, so I know there ia a lot I must have missed earlier in the season when I didn't see anything for weeks - and truly wasn't looking. Feeders were still checked, cleaned and refilled every few days. The big change started two weeks ago.
