A few days after this photo was taken the 2 caterpillars disappeared to pupate. My husband and I left on July 20th for a camping trip but my mother stayed home and ‘cat sat’. She said she couldn’t find them on the 22nd. A new adult was observed on the morning of Aug. 2nd practising his new flying technique before flying off (no photo but report submitted).
