Hummingbird Sighting (Adult Male)
Sightings report image

Date: 08/15/2023

Number: 1

Picture taken this morning, Monday, Aug 15, 2023 @ 10:33 am.

Temp was 85 degrees at time pic was taken, the high expected to be 95 degrees.

We got lucky and a cold front blew in yesterday! So yesterday and today was bearable when outside, but only for a few days and then the unbearable temps will be back!

I've been seeing a female since early spring and had an adult male and young male in the early months, the males moved on. So now I'm seeing my female and an adult male and an immature male.

They all love the tiny feeder I have out for them. If I start seeing more come in I'll put two tiny feeders out, but for now just the one.

They get nectar from the Turks Caps flowers, Tall Mexican Petunias, a hanging basket with red Petunias, Red Pentas and Garden Phlox...all in my back yard.
