Female. Ovipositing behavior on narrowleaf and showy, nectaring on Buddleia, perching.
Verrrrrrry picky about acceptable leaves for eggs. Def preferred the very young narrowleaf sprouts. I’ll have to keep dogs out of the front yard for a while so eggs aren’t squished.

I was happy to see her. I think the earwigs have been killing all young monarchs in the yard. Trapped about 200 several days ago. Will trap again tonight.

Supposedly tagging here can start today or tomorrow, but I have thought that too early and waited until Sept.
