Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 08/07/2023

Number: 1

It is now August 17, 2023. On August 7 I could not have known that this Monarch might be the only one I see this summer. It may even be the last one I see on this small wildflower garden I have.

I am angry and sad that our Monarchs continue to decline. Please contact me if there is anything more I can do to recover this treasure.

We must recover the Monarch butterfly!

In 2014 I converted a small section of lawn to native wildflowers (Joe-Pye-Weed etc) and one Butterfly Bush too. In that first year I got 2 Monarch caterpillars. In the years since I have gotten about 4 Monarch adults but no more caterpillars to my knowledge.
