Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers

Date: 08/18/2023

Number: 2

Monarch Waystation #271 reports the small local hummingbird seen again at 2:30 pm nectaring on Tithonia in the front bed, fighting to stay next to blooms as breezes swayed both itself and the flowers. Briefly a second hummer showed up in a blur and the small hummer left the flower to pursue the other bird to the west. The 2nd bird was too fast for me to catch its markings or to be able to tell if it was the local larger hummer or an unfamilar bird. Sunny, dry day today, low 80's and much lower humidity vs previous day.
