This time of year there would be many monarchs. In July I saw 2 that laid about 20 eggs on one solitary milkweed by my house. Plant was taken over by aphids, and only 1 egg hatched. Don’t know what happened to that cat.
Today there was 1 Monarch feeding on a butterfly bush. Dearth of butterflies and bees this summer.
