Point Pelee National Park- 8/19/23 Between 6pm & 7:15pm observed about 20 monarchs at the Tip at Point Pelee National Park. Most were along west path in directional flight north to south. Observed one fly a short distance out over Lake Erie but the SW wind was a bit too strong so it returned to the trees. A few times observed 2 & one time 3 doing their circle dance in the sky. Most were pristine with a few being slightly worn. All were male. A few nectared on Woodland Sunflowers.
23°c & sunny with SW wind at 12/28kmh.
