Hummingbird (OTHER Observations)

Date: 08/23/2023

Number: 1

9 a.m. First observation of skinny new hummingbird either sub adult male or female. Looking at blossoms trying to bloom. Did find desert willow tree blooming to go to.

Then ummingbird was seen in back going around looking at everything all around house at same time of red tailed hawk appeared right after. This incoming did same as previous adult male yesterday's by going up to red ant mote.

We have changed feeder styles out, hummingbirds are not going to. To nine different hanging ones out for them to pick a style. 3 hung under umbrella to shade in this still high heat indexes daily.

I'm guessing sub adult male rubythroats are just going to stream in right now not figuring a feeder or not sticking around.

Hawk got jet hosed out fast twice.
