Into the Bushes

At about 11:50 AM, as I headed out our back door, I apparently startled a Monarch Butterfly that was among some Common Milkweeds by our deck.  It took off headed to the southwest corner of our yard.  I headed inside to grab my camera.  By the time I came back outside, the butterfly had made it to the various plants and bushes by the fence at the southwest corner of our yard, where it was fluttering about.  It would disappear below the tops of the plants (mostly the Swamp Milkweed and the Joe Pye Weed).  Occasionally, it would pop up into view.  At one of those times, I was able to snap a photo of it flying above the plants.  (Yes, that circled orange blur in the included photo is the butterfly in flight.)

At the time, under partly cloudy skies, the air pressure was 28.85 inches, the air temperature was 70°F and rising, the dew point was 52°F, the humidity was 53% and dropping, and there was a light 8 mph breeze blowing from the ENE.
