Deer has eaten swamp milkweed blooms/flowers in the garden. In the past few days, I was contemplating cutting off this butterfly bush, but did not get to it. There is black eyed Susan, mountain mint,and Joe-pye weed in the garden, but monarch chose the butterfly bush to visit and receive some nectar.
