Ruby Throated seen only in this area. The fall migration might be slightly delayed in Texas this year due to the intense heat and drought in July and August. Wild flowers and flowers in general are few and far between with little to no rain the past 60 days. In normal past seasons, I would be seeing 2-4 dozen around me feeding very heavily at end of August. This year numbers are low, but there is a weak cool front coming through this week which might trigger some migration. The first good windy cool/cold front is when the majority of males depart in first wave south.
