Saw these roosting Monarchs midday and confirmed the roost this morning, 8-28. 27 in a Boxelder in quite a cluster and there are 8 spread out in dead branches close by. Saw a fair number yesterday out on our grassland, must be some yet emerging. Still good forb color with Goldenrod and Sunflowers, Heath aster also blooming.
