Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 08/28/2023

Number: 3

About 5 PM on 08/28, saw a mated pair of monarchs and another male monarch also trying to mate with the female. When I approached, the extra male flew away and shortly after that the mated pair flew off attached into an oak tree.

The butterflies were initially on a Liatris scariosa nieuwlandii plant that was just starting to bloom.
