Ruby throated hummingbird on Celosia argentia spicata "Cramer's Amazon". Surprisingly, Columbus, the female Rufous bird that overwintered in our greenhouse never went near this Celosia though it bloomed all winter!! Also seeing hummingbirds on Erythrina x bidwilli, Calendula officinalis, Anemone x hybrida cultivars, Perovskia varieties, Caryopteris varieties, Ceratotheca triloba (a must have annual blooms from June-frost, self-sows but easy to pull out). Staples are Cuphea, Fuchsia, Stachytarpeta, Agastache, Lobelia and Salvia. They love Zinnia and Dahlia but bees occupy the center 24 hours!
