Monarch Egg Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 08/31/2023

Number: 5

The ACU pollinator gardens behind the Hunter Welcome Center contain some showy milkweed. That is where I found the eggs today. All I have seen or two adult monarchs. There are likely more eggs than I saw. This milkweed rarely blooms and doesn’t like the heat, but we have some new growth that has occurred in the last month and those are where the eggs are found. The old growth is discolored and almost dried up.
