I saw one at a feeder this morning. Also saw flights past the window this afternoon - one at a time. I didn't see any when I took out four feeders with fresh nectar this evening - I usually see one or more in one or more locations.
It appears to me that the Rubies have decided to head for warmer climes. It has been cooler than usual.
I referred to the past several years of calendars and, if today's observations hold true, this is a week or two earlier than usual for them to leave. Of course, I'll continue to set out freshly filled feeders.
As always, I'll miss my little friends!
