They started coming around 1pm. More and more followed. They stayed until just after sunrise. One has returned this afternoon

Nearby nectar sources: Flower gardens gardens and potted flowers. Nearby fields. This spot was within City limits of Mankato

Overnight temperatures and wind direction: Mid 60’s south wind

Tree species monarchs were roosting on and whether shielded from wind: Pine tree - shielded from wind

I just counted the roost. Observed closely at 3 until late evening and before 6am this morning. Between 50 and 100 monarchs observed
