Monarch Egg Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 08/31/2023

Number: 18

A month ago all the milkweed in this area was chapped to the ground. I was debased because I had been watching eggs to hatch there. The milkweed has grown back, it ranged from 2-7 inches tall now, and every stem had mulitiply eggs on it. We counted 18 eggs in less than 5 minutes. We covered less than 20 square feet. The habitat was a handful of cone flowers that were not chopped down. There was also butterfly bush, golden rod, black eyed susan nearby.
