I put my feeder out side under my overhang last week. The three this day had already found it. I have another smaller feeder more out in the lawn. It's been there at least 3 weeks. I haven't observed any humming birds there but 2 days ago I checked it and it was bone dry. I've refilled it with 3 to 1 sugar water like my other one. I read that it is a good way to get their attention. I also have fresh water near both.
