9/3/23- 8 monarchs seen 6:40-7:50 pm before 8:00 sunset at Point Pelee National Park. Monarchs were intensely nectaring on Woodland sunflowers & Goldenrod at base of tower. A few were seen at Sparrow Field intensely nectaring on Woodland Sunflowers. All appeared pristine with plump abdomens. Partly cloudy & 23°c with SW wind @19kmh. 80% humidity. Overnight low 17c.
Hot 26/27° for a couple more days (good to speed up life cycle) then cooling off with daytime highs 20/22°c.
