Monarch Fall Roost
Sightings report image

Date: 09/06/2023

Number: 16

Around 6:30 p.m. we went to check for butterflies. Several Monarch's were flying around a Maple tree. After watching for a bit we could see that they were landing together in a roost that will see early morning sun. Thirteen landed fairly close together with three moving around a bit longer. We watched for about 30 minutes and did look for more more roosts but did not find any.
