Number: 1

The number of Monarchs in our garden has started to wane, and milkweeds are going to seed, so I was surprised to spot a Monarch egg on an Ascelpias incarnata bud yesterday morning. I haven’t seen signs of mating activity. Most of the Monarchs I’ve observed have been feverishly nectaring, as they should be in our area now, preparing to head South— if they haven’t already!
