Hummingbird (OTHER Observations)
Sightings report image

Date: 09/07/2023

Number: 19

7:30 PM, misting, overcast, 64 degrees.

This morning, we had six of our residents. At 3 PM more hummingbirds started appearing and kept arriving. Many arrived with big appetites, and chose their respective feeders. They’ve been perched on the branches by the feeders, and enjoying the nectar.

During the afternoon, my residents spent a great deal of time playing in groups of two and three with aerial games. At one time all six were in the dogwood tree.

We’ve hosted our hummingbird habitat for 28 years. There are 10 foot red flags flying on the hills. The flags are obviously working as an invitation for migrating hummingbirds’ bed and breakfast. 🎈💕
