2 monarchs seen 6:45-8:00pm before 7:53 sunset at Tip at Point Pelee National Park. 1 monarch was seen intensely nectaring on a Woodland sunflower at base of tower. A 2nd monarch at 7:35 quickly zipped in from the south & flew around the corner toward the Tip shuttle stop & roosted in a tree. Both were male & pristine. With north wind arriving & lasting the next 4 days or so we're hoping for clusters soon! By day the north wind may keep them flying high south across Lake Erie but by an hour before sunset they should settle in to roost for the night.
Cloudy with light showers & 21°c with N wind @20-36 kmh. 81% humidity.
